Community Grants Awarded
The following community grants were approved by the Executive Member for Policy, Strategy and Finance, Conservative Councillor Sean Woodward, on Monday 1 September:
- Beacon £2000 is awarded to towards purchasing a new video camera
- Fareham and Crofton Cricket Club £2000 is awarded towards resurfacing and refurbishing the batting ends within the existing practice area at Bath Lane Recreation Ground, Fareham.
- Warsash Wasps Sports and Football Club £1849.41 is awarded to purchase new football kit for two new teams.
The Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Sean Woodward, said: "These are just the sort of projects that Fareham Borough Council is happy to support through the Community Grants programme. These clubs and organisations provide vital community, sport and leisure opportunities within the borough which help to improve the quality of life for residents."

Beacon is a committee run community organisation that has established an internet TV service based on local people and groups filming and documenting the culture and history of Fareham and the surrounding areas. The organisation works with local residents and young people, training them in the different roles involved in film production.
Fareham and Crofton Cricket Club is based at Bath Lane Recreation Ground and offers coaching and competitive opportunities to all ages.
Warsash Wasps Sports and Football Club provides football training and teams for boys and girls aged from 5 years and up.
