Highlands Youth Project grant approved

The following grant has been approved by the Executive Member for Policy, Strategy and Finance, Conservative Councillor Seán Woodward. This was approved on 23rd April.

  • The Highlands Youth Project (based at Hill Park Baptist Church), which was set up in 2007 and developed to provide a safe meeting place for young people in the Highlands area of Fareham, has been awarded £1,800 towards the cost of renewing equipment, a refurbishment and computer and game facilities.

Councillor Seán Woodward said: "This is great news and a welcome boost to the community and I am pleased that the Council's Community Grants program can help out.  I visited the project the day after I awarded the grant and was most impressed by the dedication of all of the volunteers and the enthusiasm of the children who are benefitting from that commitment.''
